Description
This blend pairs two defined synthetic heptapeptides developed from the same Russian peptide-design program: Semax (Met-Glu-His-Phe-Pro-Gly-Pro), an analog of the ACTH(4–10) / ACTH(4–7) fragment, and Selank (Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg-Pro-Gly-Pro), an analog of the immunomodulatory tetrapeptide tuftsin. Both share the same stabilizing C-terminal Pro-Gly-Pro motif and are supplied together as sequence-verified reference compounds for laboratory research.
Additional Information
Semax and Selank were both developed at the Institute of Molecular Genetics of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Semax is studied in the research literature as a neurotrophic/nootropic peptide derived from an ACTH fragment with the corticotropic (cortisol-releasing) activity removed, while Selank is studied as an anxiolytic/immunomodulatory peptide derived from tuftsin. They are frequently examined together as complementary tools in neuroscience research models. Investigated strictly as laboratory research compounds, in in-vitro and preclinical models, these peptides have been studied in the areas listed below.
